So here it is. My short animatic based on the alphabet brief. Hope you enjoy it...

Animation time!

So we were given a new animation brief the other week. Using our alphabet mini-books as a base, we had to design a animated sequence that was to be between 9 and 12 slides and 10 to 30 seconds.

These are the stills/storyboard for my animation:

The basic story is a dolphin jumps up at a duck swimming along unknowingly. Only simple, but sometimes that's what works best.

...animation coming shortly!

Puppet time!

So, while I was researching artists and illustrators who work in pastels, for our traditional media unit of work in uni, I came across this artist, Lynda Kettle. One of her pieces instantly took me back to a piece of AS-Level work I did. It is an Indian puppet, which I completely sewed and made myself.

Oh, hello semester 2

Well, it's been a while, and I'm sorry for that. Some family personal stuff has been going on, but I'm getting back on track now. So, we started the beginning of our second semester the other week, and were given our first brief of the semester. We had to choose 6 letters from the alphabet and create a mini-book for these letters. It had to be set in a particular way, e.g. say the letter was 'A', the pages had to include a square image and a sentence. The first page would read: alligators, the second: alligators and apes, the third: alligators and apes and antelopes, finally, the fourth page would read: alligators and apes and antelopes on a alphabet adventure.
The 6 letters I chose, were: B, D, E, F, G and O.
